Do I need special vaccinations to travel to Cuyabeno

No vaccinations are required to enter the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve . There have not been any cases of tropical diseases (malaria, yellow fever, cholera) reported in or near the lodge.

Are the jungle tours in Ecuador safe?

You bet they are. Ecuador is one of Latin America’s most stable and safest countries. You’ll be welcomed by its friendly people and always taken care of by attentive staff. After full days of wildlife viewing, rest up at our cabins in our ecolodge, which offer authentic ecuadorian traditional accommodation.

Do you offer english speaking guides..?

We use knowledgeable, experienced english tour native guides. French, Dutch and German speaking guides can also be arranged for a group of 8 or more persons upon the additional fees.

Is it okay to drink the water?

We provide free bottled water at our restarant. So feel free to refill it when ever you want.

Will somebody come to pick me up at the Airport on my arrival?

Yes, we come to the airport in Lago Agrio (Nueva Loja) to pick you up. Outside the Terminal Hall, we will be displaying a play card of Green Forest Ecolodge. The pick up is only available during morning flights.

What time do we get back to Lago Agrio (meeting point) after finishing the tour, and what is the earliest time I can book my return flight from Lago Agrio Airport?

We aim to have guests back in Lago Agrio by 2h30pm. We advise that guests should not book their onward connecting flight before 4pm. Please recall that we cannot be responsible for any delays caused by inclement weather or other factors beyond our control.

What kinds of animals will I see on an amazon jungle tour?

All kinds! You will see the animals you’ve always dreamed of encountering on the amazon rainforest like pink dolphins, all kind of monkeys, caimans, macaws, toucans, many kind of birds, anacondas and so much more.

Are there mosquitoes at the Ecolodge?

You are unlikely to see mosquitoes at the Ecolodge. Insect repellent is advisable to protect against the “no see ums”, especially early in the morning and in the evening.

What clothes should I bring on an amazon jungle tour?

Dress in comfortable, casual attire that you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend wearing layers. After you’ve booked your cuyabeno tour, we’ll mail a detailed packing list to help you prepare.

Can special diets be accommodated?

With advanced notice, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly meals can easily be arranged. Make sure to inform us when booking your trip.

All of our tours in Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve provide opportunities to visit local villages and interact with the people. However, if your itinerary does not include these visits, you’ll still gain valuable local insight from your expert guide, a native of the tribes in the jungle.

Of course! We think taking your whole family on an amazon jungle tour is a wonderful way to learn and grow together.

What size are your amazon jungle tour groups?

We specialize in small group travel (about 8-10 people) per native natural guide, but the exact size varies trip to trip. One thing’s for sure: you’ll have plenty of space to listen and participate with our natural native guides.
